Provision was made during planning for further names to come to light over the years. While 3 plaques now sit on the Memorial Wall, nominations are still welcome. From 1 January 2023 the following guidelines shall apply: 

NOMINATION OF RSL MEMBERS

All service members of the Anglesea RSL Sub Branch from 1945-2022 with a full name and service  number to be automatically included, provided the member had a ‘District’ address with residency  of not less than approx. 10 years at a permanent home or holiday house. 

NOMINATIONS FROM ALL OTHER SOURCES

All other nominations must include the full name of the nominee, copy of the service certificate  (or other document as evidence of the service number), and proof of a ‘District’ address with  residency of not less than approx. 10 years at a permanent home or holiday house.

DEFINITION OF DISTRICT

‘Anglesea & District’ is inclusive of the areas from Eastern View to Bellbrae.

DEFINITION OF SERVICE

Any person with a service number who has served or is serving with: 

– the Australian Defence Force (ADF) including National Service and Volunteer Defence Corps – a peacekeeping force in which Australia was involved 

– an Allied force in a theatre of conflict 

DISCRETION

The Anglesea & District War Memorial Committee reserves the right to accept nominations at its discretion.
